Gentle Rev cares about fundamental rights and because the right to integrity is a fundamental right, we care about your privacy.


This website www.gentlerev.com (the “Webpage”) is operated by Viveca Fallenius AB, company registration number 559215-2663 having its registered address at Uggelviksgatan 12, 114 27 Stockholm (”Gentle Rev”, “we” or “us”). The website is offering advisory services, workshops, presentations, yoga classes, courses, events and other services (from here on we’ll call them the “Services”).

We are using external service providers that are hosting the website and taking care of the accounting, finance and insurance parts of the business. You may want to check out the privacy policies of Wix, Bolageriet, SEB and Folksam/Trygg Hansa.


This Policy explains how we may process your personal data. The Policy may be amended or updated from time to time, so please check it regularly for updates.

Collection and creation of personal data

“Personal data” is EU jargon and actually means any information that in some way can be tracked to a living person. It can be a name, address, location data or IP addresses.

We may collect or obtain personal data directly from you: 

  • when you contact us and inquire about our services;

  • if you book a class or other event with us; 

  • if you sign up for to our subscription list;

  • when you make your Personal Data public e.g., if you make a public post on social media; and

  • if you visit our website.

We may also create personal data about you, such as lists including information about age, food allergies and health data that is necessary for providing the services.

”Processing” means using, changing, reading or in any way make use of personal data.

  • your contact details (e.g., your address, e- mailadress);

Where we need to process your Sensitive Personal Data such as information about your health, we only do so with your explicit consent.


Purpose and Legal Basis

Gentle Rev handle your personal data to be able to provide you with the services we offer. We process Personal Data for the following purposes: providing our website; operating our business; communicating with you; managing our IT systems; financial management; ensuring the security of our systems and when you join one of our retreats; compliance with applicable law; and recruitment and dealing with job applications.

We will use (the legal word is process) the information described above for the following purposes: 

  • to enable and provide our Services and integration with third party services (third party services basically mean accounting, website host etc.) and to provide, personalize and improve your experience with our Services and make sure we follow our terms of use. The purpose for doing this is that it is necessary to provide the service to you (aka necessity for the fulfilment of our agreement with you) and because we want to give you a customized experience (aka a legitimate interest to provide you with a customized experience).

  • because we send you messages by emails or in other ways to provide you with marketing of our or partners’ products and services. In legal jargon it is based on our legitimate interest to send you promotional material about products or services you might be interested in.  

  • to let you know about news and updates of our services, like a new yoga event for example or an update of our terms of use, simply to keep you posted. In legal jargon, we have a legitimate interest to keep you informed about developments of the Services and the terms you agreed to use the Services under;

  • to improve and develop the Services and products we offer and to analyse your use of them. Why? To make sure they are up-to-date and matches your preferences (we have a legitimate interest of developing our offer to make sure it stays relevant);

  • to make sure our Services function properly and to prevent use of them that does not respect our terms of use. Our purpose? It’s to fulfil our agreement with you and to protect ourselves and our users to make sure our Services are not abused;

  • to make sure our terms of use are respected, to protect our rights, property and safety and also those of any other (third parties) if necessary. Why? Well, we have a legitimate interest to protect our business, our users and other third parties;

  • to recruit and find collaboration partners: recruitment activities; offer details; and acceptance details. The legal basis is compliance with legal obligations (employment law) or legitimate interest (when recruitment activities).

  • and finally to make sure we fulfil legal obligations. Simply because we don’t want to break the law!

We do not process your personal data for any other purpose that is incompatible with this purpose.

How long do we keep your data


We only save the data for as long as it is necessary with regard to the purpose of the processing, unless the data must or may be stored longer according to law.

After you attended a class or bought a service from us, we will save your name and email adress to our subscription list for further communication and marketing purposes. If you wish to be removed from this list, you can at anytime reply NO to the email or click on the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or contact us at privacy[at]gentlerev.com.


Third part access

We may disclose your personal data to:

  • legal and regulatory authorities;

  • our processors;

  • any partner in any of our Services if necessary for the carrying out of the Service and;

  • any third party providers of advertising, plugins or content used on our website.


Subscription list & newsletter

By signing up to our newsletter/subscription list, you agree that the information provided (name and email adress) will be stored to fit the stated purposes; to provide you with information about our events, classes, services and other updates.

We will save this information for as long as we continue to use email for marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list.

At any time you can change your mind by replying NO to the email or by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the footer of an email you receive from us, or by contacting us at privacy[at]gentlerev.com.


Data Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against any accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, and other unlawful or unauthorised forms of processing, including erasing lists and emails as soon as possible.


Your rights and accuracy


You may have a number of rights. These rights include: 

You have an absolute right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing. You also have the right to recall your prior given consent. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before its withdrawal, and we may continue processing your personal data based on other legal grounds, except for direct marketing.

You have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data that we process relating to you free of charge once (1) every calendar year. For any additional copies requested by you, we may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs.

Data portability means that you can receive the personal data that you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and have the right to transfer such data to another data controllers.
