FASHION & BEAUTY - REDESIGNED
Let's demand more
Are we just victims of smart marketing?

WHY FASHION NEEDS TO CHANGE
Time to ditch the old ideas
Fashion is already changing but the new ... is not mainstream yet. What if

We already know the devastating effects of fast fashion. How it affects the population where production takes place LINK, how work conditions are not always fair to say the least and how transports are taxing on the environment. It's plainly unsustainable on so many levels.
If you think about it, buying something new (and unnecessary) is rooted in a desire to pamper yourself and feel comforted. But guess what? You can achieve that effect in many other ways. Once we see the pattern, we can become more conscious consumers.

With the sharing economy and the new offers including buying and renting used clothes, the importance of seasonal trends and the status around luxury brands will loosen its grip on us. Why should you buy an expensive bag when your friend is renting the same for a fraction of the price? It's time to ditch the idea of having to buy something new every season. Or a new top every time you go out. That boost of inspiration can be achieved if you instead think creatively about what is in your wardrobe already.
GENTLE RECOMMENDATIONS:
ReRobe - digital platform to buy second hand
It's Re:Leased - rent your clothes on a monthly basis!
Residus - designing clothes with surplus fabrics
Services where a stylist examines your wardrobe and creates new ensembles etc.

THE SECRET OF BEAUTY PRODUCTS
Let's put some petroleum on that baby butt
Marketing marketing marketing. We consciously or unconsciously let ourselves be fooled.

Understanding the ingredients probably requires years of education. (Hey I can help you redesign that if you care about your customers!). Or wait, probably, the beauty industry lobbied so hard for the truth to be concealed behind incomprehensible words.

And did I choose the wrong image here? No, actually a lot of product contain petroleum. According to the EU, it can contain "Great for rubbing pink baby butts with". Thank you Orkla for truly caring!
