Runner-up to Swedish Legal Innovator Award

Updated: Feb 27, 2020

Things are starting to change, slowly but surely! The awesome Andrea Lindblom won the Swedish Legal Innovator Awardand (congrats!!) and I was a runner-up! Shout out to Stanford's d.school where I learnt it all and to my previous colleagues who supported my work as a Legal Futurist.

Legal innovation is all about empathy for the user. Working close to startups as a tech lawyer, I quickly realized that entrepreneurs are not always familiar with legal jargon (actually, who is?). That’s why I started designing contracts with a simplified language, emojis and signs to highlight the essential parts. I also led legal design workshops to spark creativity and promote a change in mindset. My way of working was, and is still, based on design thinking, which means I am constantly testing new ideas, being curious and listening.

Innovation and legal design are actually a big part of my new business and dictates the way I work. Why? Because the design thinking approach emphasizes active listening, an open mindset, empathy and thinking outside the box - skills that are truly necessary if we want to change society and work for a gentle rev(olution) towards a more sustainable world 💜🙏🏻🧘🏼‍♀️☮️ #gentlerev #jointhegentlerev #legaldesign #innovation #sustainability#leadership #personalgrowth #growthmindset
